Easter Angels.

Happy Easter to you!!
We had a wonderful day full of laughter and joy.

McKenna was cracking us up Easter morning chasing colored eggs all over the house, "Ahhhhhhh a green one!! Ahhhhh a yellow, a blue one!!!" She seriously lost her mind. It was so hilarious! McKenna and Liam both got cute lambs, "Laney" and "Holland." Pretty perfect if you ask me! Chocolates, toys, and fun oh my!!

McKenna had a blast coloring eggs at her Grandma's house, the day before Easter!

I don't know what it is, but Easter and Tanglewood Farms, our favorite miniature animal farm, always produce the most beautiful pictures of our babes!!
My sweet angel!
 On the hunt!
Awww, giving her brother a flower.
 My sweet angel!
 Stomping through the dandylions!!
Why mow the lawn, when it's so wildly beautiful?!!
 Sweet angel!
 Some handsome men!
 RUUUUNNNNN!!!
 Sweet kisses.
Sweet, beautiful girl!
 She loves her lamb.
 Beauty.
 Beautiful warrior.
It was already really hot at noon,
and Liam does much better in cooler environments,
so we made the photo session quick and went inside soon thereafter.
Many kids with mito have temperature instability,
but we're not sure if that's the case or he's just being a Stine,
and just like his Daddy who wears short sleeves in the snow! :)
Liam decided Easter was the day to really make eye contact with Mommy!!
This is the best I could capture of a very exciting event!!
Keep fighting buddy!!
McKenna wanted to play outside some more,  so we did some artwork with the cutest chalk I've ever seen. I didn't want to ruin the little guys! McKenna didn't mind. :)

We hope all of you had a blessed Easter.
Our Father never ceases to amaze me with His gifts upon our family.
Each day is a gift.
Only love matters.
McKenna taught us so much about strength and bravery the days after her birth,
as she fought to thrive.
But years have passed,
and Liam arrived to remind us of the importance of love and life.

May God the provider of green pastures and quiet waters
be the peace in our hearts today.
May Jesus our guide on mountain top and valley deep
be the hope in our hearts today.
May the Spirit of truth and knowledge be our comforter
and friend be the strength in our hearts today.

We get in such a rush to fill our lives with things.
We seldom take the time to feel the gentle brush of angel wings.

We are blessed with our angels. Thank you Lord for them.

Even better...

The new blog is even better!! After losing the old one that I spent so much time on, I believe this new one is even better. There are separate pages everyone can go on! I was so ecstatic to include the beautiful video Michael made of Liam, it's truly touching. There's a page just about mitochondrial disease and one about a phrase told to me by a phenomenal nurse, "Welcome to Holland." Needless to say, I love the new site. :) We're so excited that Liam is off one of his seizure medications too! It was the one he began that made him so very sedated and lose his ability to eat from a bottle and lose his head control. We're praying he gains these back really soon! A smile would be fantastic too!! You can do it, Brave Liam!!! You are our little warrior, we believe you will do it again soon! Everyone's prayers have helped him so much. Thank you so much! He continues to be alert, looking around the room when awake, sleeps great at night, and is doing well on the NG tube. He seems to be making more eye contact too! Hopefully, that's not my imagination. We're excited for his big sister's birthday party too, coming up in 2 weeks!! Liam sees an opthamologist again in May to check his eyesight because the seizure medication he is on can cause peripheral vision loss, so his sight needs to be checked every 3 months. He also has another MRI in May. We pray everything will be stable and our little fighter will only improve everyday.

Each day is even better.
